Lockheed Martin wins TSA contract worth $1.2B

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration said Thursday it has awarded Lockheed Martin Corp. a contract for human resources support worth up to $1.2 billion.
The defense contractor will provide the TSA with a variety of human resource functions, including recruiting and hiring, personnel and payroll processing, employee benefits and work force management.
The contract is for a six-month transition period followed by a one-year base period and includes seven one-year options. The total value of the contract, including the option years, is about $1.2 billion.
